The 10th annual Dolphin Dip Extravaganza!

When: January 1, 2012
Show up at 11:00 am swim at 12:00 pm

Bigger and better than ever before. Come and participate in what should be the "America's Biggest New Year's Day Swim Event."

We are expecting over 4000 people, so don't be left out in the cold! Come for some great family fun and excitement.

Wear your costume or bathing suit and join in the fun!

So you want to do the dip. Get your friends to sponsor your courage. If they don’t have the intestinal fortitude to do the dip, let them live vicariously through you. Get all your friends to sponsor you in the dip.

Wear your craziest or most creative costume for the 2012 Dolphin Dip Extravaganza. Exciting, special, fun, fabulous prizes will be awarded for the top 3 costumes. You must "Do the Dip" to be eligible. Dress up and make history as the first official Dolphin Dip Extravaganza Costume Contest Winner!

Type Of Race: 5k on the sand
Race Fees & Dates: $20 pre register, $25 day of Race 12/31/11 Noon start
Packet Pick-Up: 10:00 am day of event
Awards: Age group, overall

The Dolphin Dip Dash 5k Beach Run is part of the Dolphin Dip Extravaganza week end. The race will be run entirely on the beach. Don’t expect your fastest race, but do expect the best scenery and most fun of the year. All runners are welcome. This will be a kid friendly, walker friendly event. Proceeds benefit Hope for the Warriors. You can learn more about the Dolphin Dip Extravaganza at www.dolphindip.net. The Dolphin Dip Extravaganza is America’s Largest New Years Day swim event and benefits Hope for the Warriors.

Kaiya Scott Wins T-Shirt Design Contest

This year a contest was held at Topsail High School to design the T-shirt for the 2011 Dolphin Dip Extravaganza. With help from media teacher Kevin Hull the contest was on. The Dolphin Dip Extravaganza received a record amount of excellent designs. The creativity and passion displayed by the students was impressive. After a long and difficult deliberation the judges selected the design submitted by Kaiya Scott. Kaiya was awarded $200 from the Dolphin Dip Foundation.
